In November, at the Kovačević Winery, we witnessed a special moment – a combination of the vast vineyards of Bordeaux and the soul of Fruška Gora. The evening, which is not recounted in words but in feelings, brought the harmony of two regions, united through top gastronomy, the art of food preparation and wine perfection.
Gastronomy as a bridge between cultures
Our Chef Mile Sekulić and his team have masterfully portrayed the spirit of Fruška Gora through the richness of taste that each plate carries. Each dish is carefully designed to reflect the traditions of this climate, while gently blending with the sophistication of wines from the Bordeaux region.
Guests enjoyed the following delicacies:
• Wild trout tart with grape seed oil dressing – a real introduction to the symphony of flavors. This specific combination of mild fish and aromatic oils brings a refreshing start.

• Forest risotto of porcini mushrooms, herbs and Parmesan cheese – a dish that evokes the smell of Fruška Gora and the wealth of its forests.

• Consommé with Fruškogorsk dumpling filled with slow-cooked rooster – a dish that carries the soul of our villages, combining tradition with modern finesse.

• Duck in a wine and forest fruit sauce on a creamy pumpkin puree – the elegance of French technique in harmony with local fruits.

• Veal Wellington with Fruškogorsk truffles – a masterpiece that elevates dinner to a level of sophistication, combining the juiciness of the meat and the complexity of the truffles.

• A selection of cheeses with candied fruit and caramelized onions – a moment in which the connection between tradition and innovation is recognized.

• Scones filled with pistachio cream – a dessert as light as a cloud, with a hint of creamy luxury.

• Chef’s cake with gorgonzola ice cream – the finale that reveals the boldness and creativity of the Kovačević Wine House kitchen.

Wines that tell a story
Wines from the legendary wineries of the Bordeaux region – Domaine de Chevalier and Château Du Tertre – were served with each course. Their layering, refinement and tradition of wine production, which dates back centuries, left a special impression on every guest. From the first sip, you could feel the elegance of the terroir, as well as the passion of our guest winemakers.
At the same time, Fruška gora, through the selection of local wines, showed its strength and potential to stand side by side with the world’s most famous regions. This was a tale of two worlds, told through a shared glass.
Heart of the evening: Hospitality
While the guests enjoyed every bite and sip, it was clear that the most important ingredient of the evening was emotion. Our team worked diligently on every detail, from the perfectly arranged plates to the warmth with which each guest was greeted. We are proud to point out that we managed to share the spirit of Fruška Gora, its hospitality and soul, with our guests and our colleagues from France.
