our story
How it all began
We started from a small family vineyard located on the southern slopes of Fruško Gora above Iriga, with the desire that our small family winery grow and develop a completely new wave of Serbian winemaking. From the first day, the goal of the Kovačević Winery is to restore Fruška Gora to its ancient glory, which will once again shine from its vine-covered slopes. On the wine road, we traveled through time to distant history, closely following every corner of our climate and listening to the vineyards with the utmost attention. Walking in the footsteps of tradition, with an eye on the future – led us to completely turn to organic production and study the oldest wine techniques. The long maceration of grapes and the production of wine in amphorae now echo again in the rhythm of the Fruška Gora vineyards and reveal the real, somewhat forgotten, soul of Fruška Gora.
“We are constantly searching for outstanding wines, which requires above all knowledge, skill, love and dedication. “
